The holidays have brought Google Pixel device owners a special treat – a new feature drop! Google has been rolling out these feature drops for a while, but this drop is said to be the largest for Pixel device owners yet. The newest features include a number of additions that were previously promised for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at launch.
The release of a free VPN is the standout feature in Google’s December feature drop. Users of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can now use VPN by Google One without purchasing a membership. You only needed to upgrade your phone, and now all of your network traffic is safer than before.

The other unique feature of the Pixel 7 series is clear calling, which improves the sound of the person you’re speaking to on the phone while cutting down on background noise.
Google has also introduced speaker labels to the Recorder app for Pixel 6 and newer going back a generation. Recorder can now recognize and label each speaker while you record and transcribe a conversation. It can also insert line breaks when a new person begins speaking. After the meeting or lecture is over, you can go back and identify the speakers who were labelled.

Pixel phones now have a unified security and privacy settings menu, Fitbit Sleep Profile for Pixel Watch to monitor your sleeping patterns, cough and snore detection on Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, three new Curated Culture wallpapers, and additional tiles on Pixel Watch.
With the introduction of the digital car key, Grammar Check on Gboard, Live Translate, improved search, and Voice Message Transcription in Messages, Google has expanded the scope of its functions to a larger variety of contexts, tongues, and devices. These abilities are all now readily available.
